next to the Place de la Contrescarpe where Hemingway once lived.
A mere 100 meters from the Pantheon, it is within easy walking distance of Notre Dame, the Boulevard St. Michel, La Sorbonne and the "Jardins du Luxembourg". The area has a village type feel with its pedestrian streets and old stone houses. The Rue Mouffetard is famous for its daily market and traditional French restaurants.
